Eliza Michel – College of Nursing
I sit here and can’t help but smile,
I still think about you,
But haven’t seen you in a while.
You are my moon, my warmth, and sweet serenity,
My cause, my effect, and even my remedy.
My elegant elixir that rids me of fears,
My light in a dark place, that makes the ghosts disappear.
I thirst for you like parched land yearns for rain,
You keep me strong at my lowest,
And most importantly sane.
Hopeless tragedy or romantic love story?
I’ve dedicated my life into figuring it out,
With you I’ll take this journey,
With no hesitation or doubt.
To the stars and the skies, and everywhere throughout,
Just so that I can feel, what true love is all about.
You are everything that I want, my moon, my life.
And so that we are never apart,
One day, I shall make you my wife,
And hold you in a special place,
Forever, in my heart.
