Alma Moyal – College of Education
She gave me her raw flesh- I ran my hands slowly through it. I could feel her
pain. I ingested her anguish and can feel it in every corner of my exhausted
body.I looked up and yelled hoarsely to the glaring trees, as they read my soul
against the stark sunset – I have killed her – I looked into my brother eyes, as the
screams escaped my mouth
- He turned away as if he could not hear me… and he continued to bury her
- He put concrete over her, and then more concrete. Concrete.
So I ran, and I ran, and ran along her grave it stretched for miles and miles…
My body collapsed.
I woke to a voice, she softly spoke, I could feel her embrace I could smell earth.
I took off my clothes and I took off my skin- I crawled in her radiant arms and she
I ran back and grabbed my brother’s hand.
