Eric Fortune talks about success on his blog and what that means to him. Professional aspirations are always valuable but what means can vary from one person to the next. Eric is becoming a well-known artist, he shows in galleries, he is being featured in magazines, and he is able to make a good wage from it. What it takes to be ‘successful’ and whether or not a job title and how much money a person makes can be markers of accomplishment, but only if an individual defines it that way.
While my personal career goals would be to obtain that level of notoriety and accolades, in some ways achieving success doesn’t always have to be career oriented. There are other worthwhile pursuits to life and ‘making it’ can be defined by personal goals as simple as staying in shape or making a new friend. All in all, success has more to do with a person’s frame of mind.
